
On Saturday, December 15, 2018, REAL RACING CLUB S.A.D. held its annual shareholders' meeting, at which it presented a "beta" version of a pioneering joint development between INGECID and the club. It involves the transversal application of technologies and capabilities from the field of civil and nuclear engineering, to create a virtual interactive simulation of El Sardinero sports ground.
The resulting application will be in the form of a video game, where the user will be able to move freely through all parts of the stadium, even the VIP areas, normally closed off to the general public. Users can play on any device, interacting with various objects and information points created for fans to learn more about the club's history.
The virtual platform also introduces a new marketing concept for sport, a new channel which could potentially reach a mass audience with a high return on investment. It will undoubtedly play a star role in selling the advertising image of the brands associated with the club, and even their products/services.
Rubén Diego Carrera, Corporate Director of INGECID and Director of Real Racing Club, explains:
